The Dinner is a short narrative experience from Goat Studios about a war veteran who comes home and tries to do one simple, human thing: prepare a dinner for his family. Released on November 21 2025, this adventure and simulation hybrid follows the evening through small domestic actions, chopping vegetables, setting the table, checking the oven, while the mind of the protagonist keeps drifting somewhere far darker. The oven hums, the knife keeps working, and between those small acts the past pushes through like water through a cracked wall. The scars of combat do not stay outside the door. Tormenting hallucinations bleed into the kitchen, memories return in flashes, and the guilt of the darkest moments pushes against the warm light of the room. The contrast between a cozy family evening and an inner battlefield gives the game its emotional core. Nothing is shouted, nothing is explained twice, and the quiet makes the heavy moments land harder.

The gameplay consists of quiet interactions with the home: you follow the recipe step by step, talk with family members, remember details and decide how honest the veteran can be about what haunts him.
