BatteryNote is an intimate adventure game in which you play as a mechanic rescuing three discarded robots from a junkyard. In a dimly lit garage, you must charge and revive these mechanical companions, each with their own backstory: J.S.C.A (a former diner waitress), Surverry an office security guard, and Devind R7 a military combat unit. The core gameplay revolves around time management and moral choices as you decide how to spend the robots' remaining operating time. You can engage in conversations to explore their memories and personalities, or experiment with applying high voltage to elicit different reactions. Your attitude toward each robot directly influences their reactions and determines multiple possible endings.

The game features a nostalgic four-color pixel art style reminiscent of classic 90s handheld consoles, creating an atmospheric retro aesthetic. With simple and accessible controls, the game focuses on meaningful interactions rather than complex mechanics.
