Keep Driving is a nostalgic adventure RPG set in the early 2000s that sees you traveling to a distant festival in your first car. Developed by YCJY Games, this indie gem combines management, exploration, and turn-based problem-solving in a procedurally generated pixel art world. As you travel along highways and back roads, you’ll pick up unique companions, upgrade your car, and face various challenges using a creative «combat» system.     It's hard to express how it feels releasing a game we've worked on since 2016. We failed once, put it on ice, came back to it and devoted all our effort to make it happen. It's been helluva project, much bigger than we initially thought it would be, but we're incredibly proud to finally say: IT'S OUT!
    Thanks so much to all of you who have come on this ride with us in the months since we announced. When we revealed our game last fall, we would’ve never thought we’d have this much support at launch. We really hope you enjoy this game, we’ve worked so hard on making it.
    What is Keep Driving?
    Keep Driving is a management RPG about slowly making your way through a procedurally generated pixel art open world. Pick up hitchhikers with their own personalities and stories; upgrade, customize and repair your car. Solve challenges on the road using a unique turn-based ‘combat’ system, using your own skills and whatever’s lying around in the glovebox to make it through and explore your summer possibilities.
    Road Map
    We have some plans for the future of Keep Driving, though we’re not quite ready to go into specifics yet. Just know we have ideas for more features, and we’re also planning more languages and controller support. Let us know what you think re: things you’d like to see! We’ll keep a close eye on feedback and look forward to adding new content.

    - Fixed a visual bug where the sky would disappear and look very bugged
    - Fixed bug where the roads you've travelled on didn't show on the map (red line)
    - Made it harder to drive while high

    - Fixed rainbow-road-event showing up where it shouldn't.
    - Added item swapping (drag one to another of the same size to swap positions).
    - Fixed crash that could happen when right-clicking certain items in your glovebox.
    - Ravioli now says in the description that it contains meat.
    - Fixed rare crash when pausing during certain dialogues.
    - Fixed some typos
    - Fixed "start-of-road"-passive effects sometimes triggering twice.
    - Rain-Lover Trait now works correctly
    - Getting rid of the "drunk"-status during a road event now removes the timer
     
    SPOILER:
    - Mechanic's level 3 passive no longer counts cosmetic/color upgrades
    - Songwriter's "Center of Attention" won't trigger during the race.
    - Punk quest now only shows that you reached the right city when you actually reach the correct city
    - The Dog's level 1 skills will be available when the punk leaves you.

    - Fixed bug that crashed the game when dragging an item from a shop in between glove-box-slots.
    - Fixed bug where you could drive away with the car after character creation, before getting your stuff from your home.
    - Fixed bug where gamepad controls would show up in the repair-section in the garage interface even if you weren't using gamepad.
    - Reduced the price of the 70's Orange cosmetic upgrade.
    - You can now swap upgrades of the same type directly in the garage interface. Before they bugged out and landed in weird places in your trunk.
    - Fixed rare crash that could happen while trying to refuel jerrycans for some players.
    - Improved behaviour of character creation drop-down-menus when using gamepad.

    Build 1.2.0.0 Live!
     
    This patch adds new content to the game as well as some fixes. For those looking for the localization patch, you'll have to wait a bit longer, but we are making lots of progress towards it. With help from programmer Juju Adams the game is now ready to be translated and we're aiming for August to release the localized patch. Thanks for your patience!
     
    Languages planned for Localization patch are:
    German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Ukrainian , Japanese, Chinese (Simplified) and Russian
     
    We plan to have a sale up when that patch drops as well, but maybe not as deep as the Summer Sale.
     
     
    New features:
     
    - Added some new Traits
     
    - Added some new items
     
    - Added new junk-upgrades. You can find them at junkyards and abandoned cars.
     
    - Updated some car-sprays and added some more.
     
    - Added new Road events
     
    - Added new two new threat warnings:
     
    Clone: Instead of damaging you, creates a new threat of the same type
     
    Change: After attacking, randomize threat type.
     
    - Changed some details in the Mechanic's quest. Added a new reward.
     
     
    Bugs/Fixes:
     
    - Fixed bug where you could lock the game when closing the gas-interface when having journal opened at the same time.
     
    - Hovering your occupation/loadout in character creation now shows you the corresponding trait/item list
     
    - Slightly changed first road tutorial
     
    - Fixed the bride's sleeping mask so it fits her better.
     
    - The Kid gets back into the car if she is peeing while you get a black out
     
    - Fixed the Songwriter's skill "Power Chord" not working correctly
     
    - Fixed bug where text were sometimes weird-looking at pubs/cafes
