About The Game

The office has fallen into darkness, and it needs a hero in a cardboard helmet. Box Knight is a hack and slash action game from We Made A Thing Studios, which develops and publishes the title. A toxic workplace has transformed the once happy employees into dark and dangerous creatures, and only one champion of company culture can set things right.

By day you are a normal office worker. But when the clock hits five on a Friday, you become the Box Knight, protector of the office realm. The transformation is the best part of the work week. You fight evil beings, deliver beers, wine, and non alcoholic beverages to coworkers in need, and carry the flag for workplace morale in a building that has lost its way.

The liberation campaign runs level by level and department by department. You clear the toxic scourge room by room with an array of weapons, special attacks, and executions, working your way up the office tower. At the top waits the CEO, and the goal is to defeat them in glorious battle, or die trying and do it all over again next week.

Combat is fast paced, tactical, and rewarding. The system is easy to pick up but harder to master, and every run plays out differently thanks to randomization. Cutting through the horde stays satisfying whether you favor careful positioning or all out aggression, and each cleared floor makes the next push feel earned. The climb is punctuated by fights that test what the week has taught you.

The whole package leans into its premise with humor and affection. The corporate setting becomes a dungeon, the meeting rooms become arenas, and the weekend reset becomes a roguelike loop. It is a commute worth taking. Box Knight is an action game for players who want their hack and slash served with a side of office satire.
