About The Game
Athanasy — is an episodic visual novel with body horror elements from Russian developers. Players will be immersed in a dark sci-fi universe based on actual research. Enjoy the written script, detailed illustrations and perfectly matched musical accompaniment, written specifically for the project. The story takes place deep underwater, in a place called the City. The Earth’s surface is no longer habitable. The construction of concrete, steel and biopolymers has become the last refuge of civilization and all surviving people. The protagonist is a young and gifted mathematician Josiah Kaviani, a lonely young man who prefers to spend time alone. Very soon, a series of events will force him to come out of his shell and set off to explore his native, but still alien City with its endless labyrinths of intertwined streets.The novel has a huge number of choice-based branches, each of which can be the last for the player. The endings range from just bad to terrible, and the ambiguous plot will definitely cause you to replay the game at least one more time. Make difficult and ambiguous decisions both in dialogues and in the actions of the main character. Gamers will encounter written secondary characters, distinguished by their unique and complex characters, as if they were real people. The visual component of the project will please even the most sophisticated players. You will come across not only well-designed backgrounds, but also characters, where special emphasis was placed on the design of costumes that reflect the temperament of not only the individual, but the entire underwater state as a whole.
