About The Game

Unity of Command 2 is the second edition of a series of turn-based strategy games, launched back in 2011. The game takes players to the west of World War II. During the game, players control the forces of the allies in order to lead them to victory, participating in a series of battles and operations that actually occurred during this period. In addition, however, nothing prevents the player from trying to change the course of history and, for example, go to Berlin, oppose the Red Army or abandon Operation Market Garden to provide military assistance to General Patton.

The game follows a turn-based style and unfolds on a clear map. Unlike the first part of the series, the board is covered in the fog of war — in order to find out that under it, it is necessary to conduct reconnaissance operations, capture enemy soldiers (which the player’s subordinates may also encounter) or expand the headquarters. The latter is another novelty introduced by the developers, and allows players to take advantage of special abilities, including replenishment in emergency situations and sending trucks to redeploy soldiers.

As in Unity of Command, during the game, players must not only move troops on the map and send them to consecutive battles with enemy forces, but also take care of the supply lines. Despite the fact that their presence forces players to carefully plan the next steps (especially when it comes to actions carried out behind the enemy line), it can also be used for personal gain, for example, destroying enemy supply routes.
