Helldivers Dive Harder — offers players to take on the task as favorite and random sets of equipment. From now on, players can form up to three different combinations of weapons, perks and items for quick access during the launch of the mission. Well, those who like to test themselves, may prefer random sets, formed from the list of unlocked items of equipment.

Four years have passed since Helldivers appeared on the market, however Arrowhead Studios does not forget to delight the community with fresh portions of content. The new update, dubbed «Dive Harder», is scheduled for release on October 25. It is designed to add a new «Proving Grounds» mode and an improved equipment system to the game, and also introduces some changes to the balance.

Proving Grounds is a unique mission that takes place in the city. It can be replayed an infinite number of times and, in essence, it is a kind of training ground for infernal divers. Captured enemies were allowed to roam the streets of this city, giving the military the opportunity to hone their skills on them.

The three main components of Proving Grounds are:

• The challenge is the real goal that infernal divers set themselves. For most experienced warriors, most of them are already familiar: save civilians, activate SAM, and so on;
• Modifier — is necessary in order to indulge in various settings, thereby allowing the Helldivers gameplay to remain demanding on the players' skills. For example, you can order an unexpected orbital bombardment or turn off the electricity, plunging the whole city into darkness;
• Condition — this is also a kind of setting, only directly related to the equipment of infantrymen. For example, you can equip the entire detachment with shotguns or protective devices, or even make the weapon change randomly during reloading.

In total, three such missions will be available within the framework of the Galactic Campaign. They open as you progress through the game. At the end of the campaign, all three disappear, and the new ones open only after you start a new campaign, by then they will be with new combinations of tests, modifiers and conditions. For completing these tasks, players who managed to climb to the top of the leaderboard at the end of the next campaign will receive a reward from the command of the Super Earth.
