Prison Tycoon Under New Management — is the next installment in the Prison Tycoon economic simulation series in which you play as a new prison warden. Are you ready for this kind of work. The original Prison Tycoon was released in 2005 by publisher ValuSoft and developed by Virtual Playground. Four sequels have been posted Maximum Security, Lockdown, SuperMax, and Alcatraz none of which scored above mediocre. Lockdown, SuperMax, and Alcatraz are still on Steam if you’re interested. As the name suggests, the Prison Tycoon series is a business simulation game in which you manage the day-to-day work of a prison with the goal of transforming a low-security prison into a maximum-security prison. The series gave you control over the choice of fictional and real prisons and challenged you to maintain prisoners and staff, as well as make a profit.

Abylight and Ziggurat say the next chapter, Under New Leadership, will focus on the challenges of rehabilitating and reintegrating prisoners back into healthy, functioning members of society.
