About The Game

Super Magbot —  is a platformer developed by the independent studio Astral Pixel. The game, created by Team17, known for its iconic Worms series, stands out from other platformers for its lack of jumping ability. Super Magbot takes us on a journey through the fictional galaxy Magnetia, whose fate hangs in the balance when it is in full view of a powerful villain. During the game, we take control of a supermagbot, a robot explorer, who must deal with this supervillain and restore order to the galaxy.

In Super Magbot, we watch the action from the outside. More than a hundred different levels await visits here. They consist of four unique worlds filled with various traps and obstacles on the ground. Each of them is crowned with a clash with a powerful boss, in order to defeat which it is necessary to correctly use the mechanics presented at this stage. Although the protagonist cannot jump due to his weight, he can quickly move across platforms and avoid hazards thanks to the red and blue magnets that swarm on the maps. A shot with a radius of the same color will knock off the Magbot, while a radius of a different color will result in a pull. As we progress, we discover new types of magnets.

We will find, among other things, special launchers that push the protagonist away at high speed, and those that allow Magbot to hover briefly in the air. Also, those who wish will receive bonus energy, the collection of which requires reaching extremely hard-to-reach corners of the level. Super Magbot features colorful pixel art that harks back to the golden age of 16-bit gaming. The retro style is complemented by a memorable chiptune soundtrack.
