About The Game

Flying a top secret experimental plane over wartime Europe is the whole point of Raiders 1941. This is a vertical scrolling arcade shooter from Ruttsoft built around classic retro action with a modern pace. The campaign pushes you through several hectic levels across the European theatre and the final mission waits in Berlin. You battle shoot bomb and weave through enemy waves that attack from every direction while heavy bombers and ground guns try to end your run early. The spirit comes straight from arcade classics while the smooth high framerate support keeps everything modern. Every level demands sharp reflexes and smart use of your weapons. The Axis threat spreads across the whole theatre and only these prototypes can push it back. Two planes change how flying feels. The Sparrow is fast and fires a narrow stream. The Hawk is slower but spreads its shots across a wide arc. You can charge a power shot for extra firepower though it slows the plane and narrows your fire even more so timing decides everything. Bombing runs add another layer because some targets only fall from above. Runs are short and brutal so leaderboards matter here. Steam leaderboards let you compare your score with players worldwide and the game supports 60hz and 120hz modes along with a rotated Tate view for arcade fans. Levels play as a tough traversal challenge where memorizing enemy patterns pays off on every retry. One run rarely looks like the last because enemy patterns reward memorization and calm hands. The hub keeps the latest version ready and shows patch notes from the developers so you know exactly what each update touched. A single credit rarely survives Berlin on the first try and that difficulty is exactly the point.
