About The Game

Tape 101 Liminal Descent is a psychological horror adventure with simulation elements, developed by 2H Productions and published together with Human Qube Games. The game traps the player in a world built from repetition: beige corridors, tiled walkways and empty offices that are always the same, yet never quite align the same way twice. This is a liminal realm between spaces, where reality folds in on itself and meaning slowly decays, and the descent through it is structured around the five stages of grief. Humans were never meant to be here, and the only connection to the normal world is a small remote controlled car with a camera on board. The project arrived in September 2026 as a collaboration between two independent studios.

The gameplay splits perception and action between the person and the machine. The fragile little car slips through vents, under doors and into the cavities of the in between place, fetching objects, flipping switches and recording proof that the world still makes sense, while the player watches through its camera and decides what is real. Scale and proportion betray logic here: ceilings hang too low, hallways stretch in ways geometry should forbid, and every recorded tape adds another layer to the descent and hints that this has been going on far longer than one night. Puzzles rely on observation and careful use of the vehicle rather than reflexes, and the horror grows not from monsters but from the quiet wrongness of endless identical rooms. The five stages of grief shape the journey, turning each chapter into a state of mind as much as a place to escape, and for fans of liminal spaces and slow burning dread the descent is absolutely worth taking. The car is fragile and the corridors are not, so every expedition is a calculated risk of losing the only device that still connects the player to anything solid.
