About The Game

A boy without a home meets a girl who dreams of marriage, and the machines already lost the world they broke. COCORO is a sci fi visual novel from Frontwing, published by Frontwing USA, planned and penned by Asta Konno, the writer of ATRI: My Dear Moments. The story begins in the wreckage of rampaging AI and chooses, deliberately, to be about the summer that follows.

The design commits to one bond. The plot centers on a single heroine, following how the protagonist's relationship with her develops scene by scene, summer day by summer day. There is no roster of routes competing for attention, and the narrative gives the whole runtime to one connection. Focus is the design, and restraint is the craft.

The pedigree shows on every screen. Character design comes from Akio Watanabe, known for the Monogatari and Grisaia series, and the art carries that lineage in its expressions and silhouettes. The ending theme is sung by Hina Youmiya, the voice actress of Cocoro herself, closing the story in the voice that carried it. Presentation and writing pull in the same direction.

The setting gives the romance its weight. A world that has already survived its machines is not a backdrop; it is a condition. Against it, two people with very different reasons to be alone find the same summer, and the story measures what home can mean when one of you never had one and the other only dreams of it. The premise does the lifting.

The result trusts its quiet moments. Big feelings arrive through small scenes, and the science fiction stays in service of the human story instead of competing with it.
