About The Game

Horn of the Warlord is a turn based tactics game in which Eirik Stormborn and his loyal companion, Torvald Ironhand, leave the shores of Ravenmark in search of glory and control of new lands. A naval voyage evolves into a global expansion, where every governmental decision determines the fate of the settlement under their control. Conquering neighboring regions requires the ruler to constantly monitor the condition of their troops, their fatigue level, and the optimal positioning.

Building a powerful state begins with a small fortification, gradually expanding through the capture of neighboring provinces. Opposing AI-controlled rulers are governed by uniform rules: opponents receive no hidden resources or free units, making decisions based on risk assessment. Developing castles unlocks access to more powerful military units, strengthening the defensive potential of their borders.

In addition to the story campaign, the gameplay offers standalone scenarios with unique starting conditions and challenges for survival. Skirmishes unfold on large-scale maps featuring up to six rival factions, where randomly generated starting positions ensure high replayability.
