How to Fish is an adventure shooter game developed and published by Dazed Games. The premise is simple. A group of friends goes out for a ride on the water, and their boat crashes near a small island. Now the characters are stranded far from home. Food and money come from the sea, so everyone has to learn the fishing trade. The game supports one to four players and builds every catch on a physics model.

You start with empty hands. There is no rod, no weapon, and no gear at all. The first catches come from basic methods, and every fish you land can be sold. The money you earn goes back into equipment. Better rods reach deeper water, and weapons help you deal with the aggressive creatures that guard the far islands. Selling the catch and buying upgrades forms the core loop of every session. There are no handouts here, so each new purchase has to be earned with a good catch.

Progress is tied to quests and boss fights. Each completed task opens the way to a new island, and each island brings more dangerous wildlife and better equipment to find. The archipelago works as a chain of zones, so the journey home moves step by step. Along the way there is also a collection goal: every fish species has a rare variant, and tracking down all of them fills out the catalog.

The game leaves room for side activities too. Trick shots with your gear pay extra money, and you can gamble your savings for a chance at quick profit. Firearms sit right next to traditional rods, so clearing a dangerous area sometimes means switching tools. This mix of survival, trade, and exploration gives the island chain its own rhythm. The waters around each island hide their own surprises, so scouting before a risky hunt usually pays off.
