About The Game

In Amelia's Escape, a puzzle VR adventure from Reality Syndrome Symphony, players take on the role of a teenager who just wants to get home. Amelia is a quiet but defiant girl with an interest in roller skating and photography, and the player sees the world through her eyes. One day she finds herself at the hands of a scientist obsessed with time travel, and the only way out is to solve his puzzles.

The game is a VR escape room wrapped in a story. You are locked in the scientist's room, and every object around you can be part of a solution. The puzzles are interactive, and you can tackle them in any order you like. There is no single strict route: resourcefulness and observation decide how fast you progress. Some locks hide in plain sight, while others reveal themselves only after you move the right object.

The story unfolds between Amelia and her captor Ron as she works toward the exit. Ron has his own backstory, and the narrative gives the escape a personal edge. Who is this scientist, and why does time travel consume him? The answers come piece by piece as you search the room. Nothing in the room is random, and even small details can matter later. This interwoven storytelling turns a simple escape into a small drama between two characters.

Movement is comfortable and flexible. The game supports teleport and snap turn mechanics as well as analog stick movement, so players can tune the experience to their VR comfort level. The escape is designed for a casual pace, and nothing stops you from slowing down and thinking. Sessions stay short and focused, which makes the game a good fit for a single evening in a headset.
