About The Game
The action adventure Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy is developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment. It is an original story and a prequel to the award-winning A Plague Tale games, set fifteen years before Requiem. Players follow Sophia, a fierce young plunderer on the run, as she travels to the Minotaur's Island to uncover the secrets of her past.
The island is a place of myth and danger. Sophia faces deadly trials, navigates treacherous trails, and solves puzzles woven into the environment, all while an army chases her across the maze of stone. Combat is dynamic and close, built on agility, tricks, and sharp reflexes. Parries and powerful strikes decide the encounters, and staying one step ahead of every pursuer is part of staying alive. Many enemies are drawn to the Island by a mysterious treasure, and each one wants it back.
The story moves between two eras. Players shift between the medieval present of Sophia and ancient Minoan times, where echoes of the past shape the battles of the present. Two heroes linked by fate, and the mysterious legacy of the Macula, tie the threads together. A notebook safeguards the knowledge that guides the journey, and a stolen Minoan sphere becomes the key to ingenious puzzles that manipulate light itself.
A restless presence lurks in the shadows of the island. It follows you, seems to know your every move, and hunts through the depths. Every step is a risk and every pause a potential end, so the only option is to hide, outsmart, and push forward. At the heart of it all waits the mythical creature behind the curse, and confronting it will decide Sophia's fate.
Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy was released on Steam on August 27, 2026. It is a tense, story-driven adventure for fans of the series and for newcomers drawn to myth, stealth, and fate.
