About The Game

The strategy simulation Swarmdustry is built by Mitchy Studios, and it turns the factory genre inside out. Instead of machines of steel and wire, your production network is alive, fleshy, and always adapting. You command the evolution of the Swarm: hatch workers, harvest resources, carry energy, automate production, and weave sprawling colonies of organic industry across a procedurally generated map.

Every structure, unit, and pathway is part of a living ecosystem. As the hive expands, new genetic codes open up at the Genetic Chamber, letting you accelerate growth, mutate workers into specialized types, and unlock the industrial capacity of the colony. The workforce itself is varied: Movers, Miners, Fireflies, Santchers, Acflies, Jumpers, and Drones each have a single purpose that keeps the swarm going.

Energy and logistics give the puzzle its depth. Some buildings need energy while others burn fuel such as coal and wood, and Fireflies deliver both along a spire network you design with care, following the path of least resistance. Trails and transit pads carry resources to processors of different kinds, and Drones can place buildings for you once automation comes online, so a mega base becomes a matter of copy, paste, and planning.

The world is not empty. A robotic civilization living on the planet forms waves to attack your base as the creep from your buildings spreads further. Bloodflies and Feastlings can overwhelm the attackers, and the doctrine is simple: quantity over quality is the way of the swarm. Maps are seed-based and endlessly configurable, from enemy difficulty to the amount of trees, water, and resources.

Swarmdustry was released on Steam on August 20, 2026. It is a living factory game for builders who want their industry to breathe, and it ships with integrated mod tools for those who want to rewrite every recipe.
