About The Game

DIVE or DIE Children of Rain is a 2D underwater roguelike with a Lovecraftian atmosphere, in which the remnants of humanity struggle to survive years of devastating rainfall. A mysterious dark deity, the Rainmaker, has demanded that sacred idols be found in the abyss within 40 days. Otherwise, a final global flood will destroy the remnants of civilization forever. A man named Jack must lead a camp of doomed survivors on a tiny patch of land. Every decision on the surface becomes a difficult choice between saving people today and preparing for the long term.

Distributing responsibilities within the camp and regularly upgrading deep-sea equipment are the foundation of survival. DIVE or DIE - Children of Rain forces players to constantly take risks, sending dangerous expeditions into flooded ruins. Every dive carries the threat of oxygen deficiency, physical injury, and loss of sanity. Fortifying the surface base unlocks access to advanced tools that allow for further progress. However, careful exploration of the seabed is complicated by the presence of aggressive, mutated monsters. Death is final here, turning human life into the most precious resource.

Exploring the underwater labyrinths becomes a grueling psychological battle with one's own fear. Strict time constraints force decisive action, even in the most desperate situations, to retrieve sacred artifacts. Excessively deep diving can easily destroy the expedition, depriving the camp of its collected supplies. Gradually encroaching madness distorts the perception of reality, critically complicating the return to the surface. Only the composure of the leader can overcome the oppression of the uncharted abyss and prevent the destruction of humanity.
