About The Game

Fogpiercer is a tactical RPG with strategy elements from Mad Cookies Studio, in which you command a train forging a path through an apocalyptic wasteland a landscape teeming with bandits and shrouded in deadly fog. You build a starting deck by selecting locomotives, train cars, and engineers, then engage in turn based battles where positioning, chain reactions, and environmental manipulation are key to surviving against superior enemy forces. Combat revolves around a limited pool of action points and outsmarting opponents: you can shove them into hazards, trigger collisions, or turn them against one another using over 170 cards featuring diverse abilities and synergies.

Your train's composition dictates your available tactics whether you favor miniguns, artillery, shields, hacking capabilities, or cranes to shove enemies aside. The journey features branching routes across regions with unique modifiers, rewards, and battlefield conditions such as precipices or allied support along with waystations for repairs and upgrades. Random encounters and battles against bosses with unique backstories add variety to your race to outrun the encroaching fog.

Meta progression unlocks new cars, engineers, and locomotives between runs, allowing you to discover fresh tactical combinations or bolster your favorites with additional cards. Resource management and deck optimization are crucial, as you must balance purchasing new cars and upgrading existing ones while adapting to an ever widening array of enemy types, each with distinct weaponry and vulnerabilities. Achieving success requires a well-planned sequence of actions such as combining cards involving coal and artillery to crush enemies under your wheels, or hacking vehicles to arrange them in combat formation before wiping out entire convoys.
