About The Game

Tombwater is a dark 2D action RPG in the style of Souls, combining Wild West aesthetics with otherworldly horror and madness. The cursed mining town of Tombwater has become a trap, where every street is permeated with fear, and every shot is a struggle to maintain sanity. You arrive here in search of a missing friend, unaware that the town has long been dead.

Tombwater was once a thriving settlement, but a mysterious mining disaster changed everything. Its inhabitants have either gone mad or transformed into something else. Otherworldly creatures roam the streets, and the few survivors hide a truth twisted by fear. The story unfolds in fragments through the environment, dialogue, and hints creating an oppressive atmosphere of hopelessness and mystery. Combat is brutal and merciless. You must combine firearms, blades, spells, and cursed artifacts, tailoring your survival style to each threat. A sabre strike can be the prelude to a spell, while the brute force of a shotgun is the only way out of cramped mines. Mistakes are punished, and victories come at the cost of resources and sanity.
