About The Game

ANTHEM9 is an indie roguelike that combines match 3 puzzle mechanics with strategic deckbuilding and high-speed combo gameplay. You play as an agent of the secret organization Anthem9, tasked with eliminating threats to global stability in procedurally generated dungeons. The core gameplay revolves around matching three colored gems to activate abilities and then chaining combos to maximize DPS within a tight timeframe. Success depends on clever deckbuilding and executing explosive sequences against increasingly powerful enemies.

Three playable characters offer unique playstyles Rubit wields daggers and poison, possessing adaptive gem swapping abilities Phannie is a risk taker who splits gems for powerful multi trigger combos Beni is a martial arts master who converts gems into shields and buffs for devastating single hit attacks. As you progress through dungeons, you collect offensive skills and Blessings to customize your deck, including customizing the colors of the gems that activate your abilities. The game features standard missions that unlock hardcore Extra Missions with inflated enemy stats, player restrictions, and exclusive skills, ensuring high replayability. Developed solo by koeda a self-taught developer who began his career in game development in his thirties with no industry experience ANTHEM#9 won the grand prize at the Shueisha Game Creators Camp, offering puzzle action fans strategic depth and action-packed gameplay.
