About The Game

In Of Lies and Rain, the player confronts hostile machines while navigating a devastated virtual reality world. Set in 2048, the remnants of humanity are forced to hide deep underground after a twenty-year war unleashed by the artificial intelligence A.D.E. The protagonist awakens with complete amnesia, guided only by an unfamiliar voice toward a single goal: the destruction of this hostile intelligence. The planet's surface is now completely controlled by machines representing new life forms, fighting for their own survival alongside all remaining ones.

Journeying through Of Lies and Rain requires the use of special abilities that grant access to another plane of existence a digital dimension existing within the technology of this world. The gameplay is built on constant movement between interconnected real and virtual spaces, gradually blurring the boundaries between biological and digital consciousness. Fragments of memories hidden in various locations gradually reveal the personal story of one of the survivors. Discovering these fragments of the past helps uncover the truth about the causes of the planet's destruction and identify those responsible for the demise of human civilization.

Encounters with enemy robots possessing unique abilities will force you to use weapons with unconventional design solutions for a unique combat experience. Beyond open battles, further progression through the story involves solving puzzles that block your path. The entire game is imbued with a dark, dystopian atmosphere, where the line between ally and enemy becomes extremely blurred. The final objective of the title is to fight your way through all obstacles to save what remains of humanity's future from complete extinction.
