About The Game
Sliding Hero - The action unfolds within the walls of an ancient Venetian villa, recreated in the spirit of the 18th century. This location becomes more than just a backdrop, but a fully-fledged character in the story its corridors, halls, and secret passages conceal numerous secrets that the protagonist must uncover. The story centers on Luca Sicomoro, a naval captain whose fate changes dramatically after a shipwreck. Waking up on a mysterious island, he finds himself within the walls of an ominous estate. Now his main goal is to understand how he ended up there and find a way to escape. As the player progresses through the story, they gradually piece together fragments of a complex story, each adding new layers to the overall picture.
Particular attention was paid to the game's visual style. The developers created a world imbued with the aesthetics of the Venetian carnival, where the masks of the Italian commedia dell'arte inspired the character designs. Hand-painted pixel art gives the project a unique look, while unsettling animations heighten the sense of unease and mystery. Every frame seems to come to life, showcasing the meticulously detailed interiors and characters.
An original soundtrack, inspired by Italian Baroque, complements the atmosphere. The musical compositions seamlessly weave into the gameplay, heightening the sense of grotesqueness and mystery. The soundtrack becomes another tool that helps immerse you in the world of Sliding Hero, where every movement through the villa's corridors is accompanied by appropriate acoustic accents.
