About The Game

Retrace the Light is a 2.5D action adventure whose gameplay is based on the unique mechanic of "Dimensional Return." This ability allows players to instantly teleport to previously visited locations, opening up vast tactical possibilities. Using this power is key not only to flanking enemies or delivering surprise attacks, but also to finding creative solutions to complex environmental puzzles. The events unfold in the distant year 3323, where humanity, in collaboration with the super-intelligent artificial intelligence Primus, launched the Meta-Mirror project to heal people's emotional trauma. The protagonist is Enforcer Decem, an agent tasked with infiltrating Mirror Mazes created by human consciousness.

In the world of Retrace the Light, the protagonist, who has lost his memory after a severe injury, must rediscover his skills and uncover the mysteries surrounding the ambitious project. In the depths of mental worlds, Decem must face powerful Mirror Nightmares entities born from obsessions. Enemies range from colossal mechs wreaking havoc to cunning foes capable of shapeshifting or evading sight. Defeating each requires careful analysis of their behavior and the timely use of abilities to exploit their vulnerabilities, turning battles into intense challenges.

The combat style can be flexibly customized through the Module system, opening up new approaches to combat. By defeating bosses, players gain access to seven primary Modules and their variations, and by exploring locations, over 20 secondary ones. Living on the Motherboard with his allies and engaging in dialogue with them, Decem's decisions influence the story's progression, ultimately leading to one of several possible endings.
