Egging On takes the mundane setting of a suburban night and warps it into a truly unsettling, physics based Casual Horror experience. Egobounds and their partners realize the core fantasy of being trapped in a localized nightmare, where familiar objects and neighborhood routines become distorted into sources of pure anxiety. This is an Adventure game built around dark comedy and intense, short duration survival tasks that demand quick thinking and precise execution under psychological duress.
The core gameplay centers on objective based, time sensitive tasks that must be completed around the neighborhood map. The unique mechanic is the Emotional Stability Gauge. Every jump scare, failed task, or close encounter with the game's bizarre antagonists causes this gauge to drop. If your stability hits zero, the level dramatically increases in difficulty and hostility, introducing new environmental hazards and more aggressive entity patrols. Progression is tied to finding and repairing broken neighborhood objects like restoring a shattered mailbox or fixing a dilapidated swing set which temporarily stabilize the environment and unlock new areas of the map for further Exploration.
