About The Game

Folly of the Wizards is a comedic 2D roguelike action game developed by UpFox Labs, casting you as a clumsy apprentice wizard in a chaotic cult of wizards. Your mission is to save the world from a demonic invasion by navigating procedurally generated dungeons filled with unpredictable spells and bizarre enemies. Choose from four different wizards, each with unique strengths, weaknesses, and spell quirks, requiring strategic thinking rather than simple button mashing. Social interaction plays a vital role you can befriend elite wizards to gain powerful allies, or rebel against them and face the consequences.

Your relationships and dialogue choices directly influence the course of the adventure. The game features deep customization thanks to 130 relics, tomes, and scrolls that you can creatively combine. Relics grant passive abilities, tomes modify your elemental attacks, and scrolls unlock powerful spells with unique synergies. Battles take place across five floors in nine different biomes, each culminating in battles with 22 unique bosses, which change depending on your chosen path and affinity.
