About The Game

Marisa of Liartop Mountain is a tabletop role-playing game in which you play as Reimu, searching for her mysteriously missing friend Marisa. After discovering a strange book, Reimu finds herself trapped in a literary world filled with strange inhabitants and an emotionally devastated version of Marisa who questions her own identity. The game recreates the feel of a board game through dice based mechanics that influence both the plot and battle outcomes, and your choices create a branching narrative leading to multiple endings.

The core gameplay revolves around collecting and strategically combining different types of dice from high value ones to intentionally low-value ones with unique properties. Four Touhou heroines from the Scarlet Devil Mansion (Remilia, Flandre, Sakuya, and Patchouli) regularly offer advice and dialogue options that can unlock powerful dice, though their suggestions aren't always helpful. You can spend CP to reroll unfavorable results, but increasing your CP pool by leveling up makes it more difficult to improve other stats, necessitating meaningful resource management decisions.

The game emphasizes replayability through a branching story structure, where different dice rolls and choices lead to diverse paths that ultimately converge in different endings. RD-Sounds provides a soundtrack featuring exclusive Touhou arrangements, and Mariko Honda's voice acting brings Marisa to life. This digital adaptation successfully captures the unpredictable nature and collaborative storytelling of traditional tabletop RPGs.
