Lords of Football is a football simulator in a rare genre for this sport — «God mode». The player needs to control not only the club, which can be created from scratch, choosing its name, colors, emblem, recruit players for yourself, change their names and surnames, and so on, but also influence the lives of their charges with control like The Sims. This is a completely unique idea that has no analogues.

In the evening, in their free time from work, the players turn into ordinary people with their own desires and characters. Someone can go to a bar to drink alcohol or to a restaurant to eat food that is not allowed in a strict diet, running into a reprimand from the coach. Their activities will depend on their temperament, which makes this an important point when selecting a player. It also affects the choice of the club’s development vector, because some prohibitions or too intense exercises can lower or raise the morale of both the entire team and individuals, which will affect their usefulness on the field. During the match, the gamer can change tactics and watch the course of the meeting in a 3D simulation. The coach’s shouts from the sidelines and adjustments in tactics will affect the morale of the team for the better or worse, depending on the chosen words and changes.
