SCP Control Error is a psychological horror game that immerses you in the role of Barry Gittings, a volunteer test subject at the mysterious Vortex Facility in 1985. This underground research center, shrouded in Cold War secrecy, has some pretty sinister goals. As Barry, you’ll find yourself exploring sealed research chambers and tackling tough cognitive tests, all while uncovering the facility’s dark past through scattered documents and reports left behind by previous test subjects who might not have made it out alive. This first-person adventure leans heavily on atmospheric tension instead of cheap scares, offering a gripping 30-45 minutes of psychological suspense without any jumping or fighting.

The gameplay emphasizes puzzle-solving and environmental exploration, allowing the eerie atmosphere and cryptic writings to unfold the story rather than relying on heavy-handed exposition.
