About The Game

Inspector Schmidt The Ebbing is a detective RPG set in 1870, where you investigate a mysterious death in the coastal town of Havstedt. In the role of Valentin Schmidt, a civil servant whose vacation is interrupted by a murder, you will explore the open world, interrogate suspects through an engaging dialog system, and uncover the town’s dark secrets. Gameplay combines classic detective work with enhanced stealth mechanics, puzzle solving, and skill testing that can be customized according to the difficulty you choose.

You’ll develop your character by upgrading skills and crafting useful items, while making choices that affect the development of the story. Compared to its predecessor, the game features improved detective mechanics, including detailed room exploration, combo puzzles, and customizable game modes that allow you to choose between a simple story and intense detective work with minimal assistance. Set against the backdrop of early telecommunications and social upheaval in 19th century Germany, the mystery involves strange symbols, telegraph signals, and dangers lurking in a swamp.
