About The Game

Beloved Rapture is an original jRPG that combines modern themes with classic gameplay. Travel through beautiful landscapes, fight in turn-based battles and uncover many secrets. This medium-length adventure balances between the protagonist’s personal story and the great threats looming over Alexandria. The main focus is on the plot and interpersonal relationships between characters. Each hero must go through their own personal trials before fighting the bosses in the next dungeons. Battles are turn-based with a focus on difficulty and tactics. The player can enjoy a completely original 16-bit soundtrack and pixel art, created with love in the spirit of the SNES.

No random encounters and forced character upgrades — the player can focus on the story and not be distracted by filling in side quests. An adult and mature moral line reveals themes of trauma, friendship and the LGBT community. The game features six playable characters, each with their own unique characteristics and skills. The player can choose between classic or story mode to customize their experience. The protagonist, Johan, a young man from the provinces, finds himself caught up in a conflict that is beyond his comprehension. He must find his place in this situation, confronting his family traumas, sexuality, and his own demons. His allies are the enigmatic Aiden, the son of an exiled warrior trained in the mystical arts, and Christa, a fugitive from a noble family who seeks to stop the war before it reaches her family.
