Angola 86 is a strategy game that takes you into the South African Border War of the 1980s. As the commander of the South African Defence Force (SADF), you must lead a counter-insurgency campaign against SWAPO rebels and the Angolan Army (FAPLA) in South West Africa. The game captures the essence of this complex conflict, in which winning the «hearts and minds» of the local population is crucial. Gather intelligence, track down rebels, destroy their bases in Angola and contain the FAPLA advance, all while managing political support back home.
