About The Game

Withering Rooms is different from many horror films. Firstly, this title uses a side view rather than first person. Secondly, the indie project has elements of roguelike, action, stealth and adventure. Made in 2.5D, the video game uses a Victorian setting. It takes place in and around Mostyn House. In addition to the mansion itself, there are hedge mazes, catacombs, churches, ruins, caves, tombs and other biomes. Locations are generated randomly with each new run. There are secret places on random maps. The girl will have to control it. She is able to stand up for herself when meeting monsters. The heroine’s adventures are divided into chapters.

In the game Withering Rooms there are weapons, spells, rings, artifacts, shields, and amulets. There are also various costumes. Magic allows you not only to cause damage, but to set traps, as well as enchant armor. Equipment can be found or crafted if you have the necessary resources. A teenage girl can not only fight with opponents, but also sneak past them. She is also capable of performing a special ritual. With its help you can save loot and increase levels. In addition to enemies, you come across various NPCs like merchants, witches and just strange travelers. In addition to conversations with NPCs, exploring the area and fighting with monsters, the protagonist sometimes has to solve simple riddles and look for clues.
