About The Game

Rain World is a post-apocalyptic survival platform game set in a world with incessant rain and harsh conditions. The gamer takes on the role of a small, slug-like creature known as a Slugcat. The game begins with the user being separated from his family and must make his way through the ruins of an abandoned industrial complex to find his way home. Gameplay is focused on exploration and survival. The gamer must navigate through levels that are full of dangerous creatures and environmental threats. Along the way, the user can collect resources such as food and materials that will help him survive. The player must also avoid encounters with predators, including giant lizards.

One of the main mechanics is the Hibernation mechanic. The player must find safe places to hibernate during the harsh rainy seasons, as being caught in the rain will result in death. The gamer must also monitor the amount of food and energy, since hunger or excessive fatigue will also lead to death. There are several different types of levels, each with their own unique challenges and obstacles. Among them are the ruins of an abandoned industrial complex, a network of caves and a flooded city. The gamer will also encounter several different types of creatures, including hostile ones such as lizards and bats, and friendly ones such as frogs and turtles.
