About The Game

Need for Speed Underground 2 is the eighth game in the series of the same name, which takes place after NFS Underground. The protagonist has already gained some fame in Olympic City, but 6 months later one of his comrades dies due to an accident. The hero arrives in Bayview, where he tries to get used to the new place and regain popularity as an invincible street racer. The antagonist who caused a couple of accidents at the very beginning, Caleb Race challenges the hero. Here the user can freely move around the city, challenge any racers to a duel, using a more expanded fleet of vehicles, which includes 30 cars. The arcade has 8 modes with different rules, and there are no police in the cities.

NFSU2 passage modes:

• Career — the player gradually participates in races, moving up the career ladder, where he receives a monetary reward for each victory.
• Ring — you must be the first to reach the finish line on the last lap, of which 2-5 are offered here.
• Sprint — you have to act on open tracks, where you need to get to the finish line first.
• Drag Racing is a race over short distances, where along the way you need to go around various objects and cars participating in road traffic. A manual transmission is used and there is also a risk of engine damage.
• Drifting — points are awarded here for the correct drift, as well as bonus points for drifting near the side of the road or close to the opponent’s car.
• Street X — the racer operates on small closed tracks, where there are a lot of twisting turns and there is no possibility to use nitro, and it is also important to get to the finish line first on the final lap.
• Professional league — the player participates in special competitions on separate tracks.
• Jeep race — the rules are similar to its predecessors, where it is important to stop the finish line before the rest of the participants in the process, but the competition takes place on SUVs.

Need for Speed Underground 2 also offers a Quick Race, where the user can independently adjust the number of laps, traffic intensity, number of opponents and various parameters. There is also a test drive with the opportunity to ride around the town and take part in duels. Racing features multiplayer local or online, where Sprint, Ring, Drifting and Drag racing modes are available, and it is also possible to tune the car and select tracks, as in the solo passage. In the arcade race, licensed cars are sold, for example, Toyota, Ford, Nissan, and in this part there are jeeps Hummer, Lincoln Navigator and Cadillac Escalade, which are distinguished by more complex controls.

New cars are purchased in stores, and up to 5 vehicles can be installed in the garage and also sold at half price. The vehicle is not damaged in the event of a collision and is subject to extensive tuning and styling, including performance, for example, speed, acceleration, handling, Nitro additions and there are many spare parts. You will have to act at night on city streets with dynamic weather changes, which affects the process itself. There are 5 districts in Bayview East and West Port, Old Town, Northern Highlands, Center, which are opening up in the process, where the roads are very different, for example, there are winding tracks, canyons, wide streets.
