The Long Dark Updated to v2.07 
Hello Community,
We just released our v2.07 Quality of Life Update for THE LONG DARK, including Survival Edition. This update includes some significant bug fixes, along with game and performance improvements.

USER INTERFACE

UI - Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash with the error message “failure to apply graphics settings” when a previously available display was no longer valid.

WINTERMUTE

** Please note that this section contains spoilers for WINTERMUTE. **

Episode Four - Lost Power Workers: Fixed an issue that caused the game to hang if the player entered the Trailer in Blackrock when looking for the second Lost Power Worker.

WINDOWS 10

General - Fixed a hang when launching the game on Windows 10. Please note that some players will still experience a hang when launching the game using Windows 7, however, we continue to work toward a resolution.

MAC

General - Fixed an issue on OS 10.14 that would prevent players from being able to launch the game.
General - Fixed an issue preventing players from accessing WINTERMUTE and TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY DLC on OS 10.14 and older.

Applies to: THE LONG DARK, THE LONG DARK: SURVIVAL MODE, and TALES FROM THE FAR TERRITORY DLC.
Known Issues
After completing all three TALES, players will not immediately receive the Rüdiger's Dream achievement. Instead, it will unlock upon reloading their save.
Only the first loaded Custom Survival save will provide players the option to toggle the Cougar feature on/off. Loading subsequent Custom Survival saves will not provide this option, disabling Cougar by default.
Player-crafted Workbenches do not yield a Workbench Vice as expected when broken down.
Rarely, Decoration placement is greatly offset after destroying or breaking down an object beneath where it is placed. (Workaround: Save and reload.)
Players using a controller are unable to select a Photograph for player-crafted Framed Photo.
Players can place decoration objects in inappropriate locations where they can no longer be interacted with.
Placing or dropping the orange Patterned Wool Mittens causes them to become invisible.
Players will be unable to Quarter Aurora Cougar Carcasses.
Players will be unable to break down or destroy the Furniture Workbench.
Some objects that should have the option to be broken down are missing that functionality. EX: Shrubs which block player from reaching certain locations.
Bug Fixes
This Major Update includes fixes for the following issues:
CRASHES
Fixed an issue that caused a hang, after lighting too many Campfires at once.
Fixed an issue which caused some Xbox players to receive error code '-996' after the disclaimer screen, and subsequently returning them to the home screen.
Fixed a rare issue that caused a crash when entering or leaving interiors.
Fixed a rare issue where the player's game crashes and their save is deleted when choosing to Cheat Death.

The Long Dark Updated to version 2.51Hotfix includes a critical bug fix.
 
Hello Community,

We have just updated THE LONG DARK to version 2.51, build 170901.

This is a Hotfix to THE LONG DARK and THE LONG DARK: SURVIVAL MODE and contains multiple bug fixes.

Known Issues

The team is currently aware of the following issues in the game. If you encounter one of these issues, there is no need to report it to the Support Portal. 

MacOS and Linux - Please note that we have temporarily disabled Additional Shadows for Structures and Terrain to address an engine level visual bug. We are working to fix the problem and will re-enable this visual enhancement as soon as possible. This impacts both MacOS and Linux versions of the game.
In some rare cases when launching the game while using HDR, the display may appear completely black. This is caused by brightness somehow being set to 0. Using a non HDR display and setting the brightness to a higher value before swapping back is the only workaround for the time being.

Bug Fixes

This Hotfix includes fixes for the following issues:

GAMEPLAY, UI, CONTROLS

Critical - Fixed an issue that could cause a loss of profile progress (Badges and Feats), or result in intermittent notifications stating a player's profile failed to load when starting the game.
Fixed an issue that allowed players to bypass the material requirements to repair structures via Safehouse Customization.
Fixed an issue that prevented the Cougar from spawning on save files where it was enabled at a point after first generating the save. Unfortunately, this will not resolve the issue for saves currently experiencing this issue.
Fixed an issue that prevented the Improvised Knife, Improvised Hatchet, Survival Knife and Cougar Claw Knife from being used for in-game actions such as Harvesting, opening Canned Food, or Breaking Ice where they could previously be.
