About The Game

The Bathhouse is a Japanese-style horror adventure. The player will have to explore a gloomy seamless location filled with interactive objects and screamers. The plot tells about the bath, in which strange things began to happen. The protagonist will encounter paranormal phenomena and unusual creatures as he survives in a mysterious location. The project features a VHS aesthetic that mimics the look of CRT screens.

The believable surroundings enhance the feeling of the gloomy atmosphere. Signs or inscriptions will sometimes appear on the walls, helping to understand what to do next. The user finds themselves in a horror movie with little to no interface, and the simulated analog video signal will judder. There is also VHS tape noise and a bleeding phosphor trail on the screen when colliding with opponents or traps.

VHS effects can be turned off by the gamer in the options menu, which will make the picture in standard form. The gameplay includes several branches and additional paths. The user will have to choose which road to follow, which will determine the events in his adventure and the ending. You will need to make choices that affect the future fate of the story. In the passage, it is necessary to study the environment and solve puzzles, overcoming certain elements of survival.
