About The Game

Timothy Graham made a turn based open world roguelike role playing game called Roguefort where you play as an expert cheesemaker who uses the power of cheese to cast magical spells. You explore the massive handcrafted continent of Cantal during a tense time when five rival guilds are right on the edge of a brutal war for control over the cheese economy. The plot kicks off as you set out across a living land to crawl through thousands of dungeons build your own cozy home or sail across the open seas with up to four friends. The deep gameplay mechanics require you to raise livestock and forage for ingredients so you can age rare cheese wheels that act as your primary source of raw magical power. You can brew a smoked gouda fog to completely blind your enemies or eat a specialized sunberry tomme to instantly heal your character mid battle. The game lets you pick your playstyle by switching between classic text views pixel art or full three dimensional angles while managing your reputation with factions who will sabotage your trade deals if you steal from them. If you want a change of pace you can swap to Fortress mode to build an entire settlement and manage the jobs farms and workshops of your people.
