Sweet Clockwork is an adventure visual novel from Team D.T.R, which developed and published the title. The story opens on a dazzling July day, the protagonist's birthday. Into the quiet rhythm of ordinary life arrives a confession letter that promises a meeting at six o'clock in the evening, in the Year 1 Class D classroom. With a pounding heart the hero opens the door, only to find death waiting. As vision blurs to red and consciousness slips away, the morning begins anew.

So begins the core loop of the narrative: a looming six o'clock appointment, a relentless cycle of death, and friends whose eyes now hold a chilling difference. The only way to break from this nightmare is the Time Travel Ring, a mysterious device that lets the protagonist rewind the mainspring of fate. A voice echoes across time with an earnest vow to protect, and uncovering whose voice it is becomes one of the story's central threads as the loops repeat.

The game presents a large cast of named characters, from Haena Ji, whose name players can change, to I-on Moon, Chabin Han, Sol Yoon, Dorim Chae, Jian Ban, Yohan Go, Gaon Gil, Iri Dam, and Jeong Dokgo. Each relationship deepens through repeated cycles, as the hero learns what each friend hides and which of them can be trusted when the loop resets. The school itself transforms from a peaceful setting into an unknown labyrinth where friends can become foes.

The developers frame the experience around two pillars: a dark mystery romance where one true love survives the despair, and a salvation romance built inside the repeated cycle of death. Text based simulation scenes and anime styled visuals carry the story forward at a steady pace.
