About The Game

Pixel Airport Tycoon 3D is a simulation and management game developed and published by hans-jürgen müller. You build an airport from a single small runway and grow it into an international hub, with terminals, cargo and customs under your control.

The game offers two ways to look at your airport. You can play in the classic top down 2D view or switch to a full 3D world with an open orbit camera, shadows and a day and night mood. The switch takes a single key press, so you can change perspective at any moment without losing your place.

Infrastructure is the heart of the game. You construct runways, taxiways, aprons and terminals, lay underground fuel pipelines and baggage belts, and connect the site to the outside world with roads. More than 40 building types are available, from fire stations and hospitals to hotels, power plants and parking garages.

Runways come in three sizes for different aircraft classes, and each one can be set for arrivals, departures or both. Terminals have four tiers, from a simple building to a large hub. Inside you place check-in desks, gates, security checkpoints, shops, restaurants, lounges and restrooms, which turns interior design into part of the management puzzle.

Two airport types change the gameplay. A commercial airport pushes you toward passengers, cargo and full infrastructure, while a private propeller airfield keeps things small with short runways and private stands. Land can be bought and buildings relocated, so the layout is never permanent and can keep growing.

Weather and de-icing, airline contracts, staff and research add depth to the daily operation. The current version is Build 24765730, a full release.
