About The Game

Ruthless Soviet war machines rule the wasteland in System Breakdown, an Action and Adventure twin stick shooter developed by Anarchy Creations. The player controls the last remnant of human hope inside a laboratory run by a machine called Big Brother. The goal is simple to state and hard to reach. Destroy the ruler of this communist utopia and end his reign once and for all.

The game demands aggression. Standing still is a fast way to die, and the only way to survive is to keep moving and keep firing. Enemies come in waves of armored units known as Clankers, and each one needs a different approach. Cycling between guns restores ammunition, while special power ups strip the armor from hostile machines. A finisher move heals the player in the middle of combat, and every kill builds the Fury meter that unlocks a devastating ultimate ability.

Trials are the way to grow stronger. Big Brother monitors every performance and rewards good results with resources. Those resources buy advanced weaponry and better power ups, letting the player build a personal style of destruction. One approach favors pushing enemies into a rocket explosion, while another relies on a Kimbo assault rifle and Rambo style firepower. The choice belongs to the player.

The world is a dark reflection of a communist future where the Soviets won the Cold War. Everyone is equal, everyone is the same and nobody owns anything. Speech is forbidden and the system watches every move. The laboratory setting creates a cold atmosphere that matches the brutal combat on screen.

Fans of fast shooters such as Ruiner and Kill Knight will feel at home with the pacing and difficulty. System Breakdown supports English, Polish, Russian, French, German and Turkish, with full audio for English. The project is co financed by European Funds for Smart Economy under the KPT ScaleUP Booster program.
