About The Game

Stonewards is a co-op Action and Survival shooter developed and published by Banana Tiger Studio. A team of dwarf warriors defends the royal citadel from waves of monsters, while the ruins beneath the fort hold the resources needed to keep the fight going. The game blends fast first person combat with short expeditions into procedurally generated tunnels.

Each run follows a cycle between two phases. Dwarves explore the caves to mine ore, gather gems and improve their pickaxes, then return to the surface before the next assault begins. Digging speed and movement upgrades decide how much can be collected during a single trip. The deeper the dwarves go, the better the loot, but the longer they stay, the less time remains for fortifications.

Combat in Stonewards relies on tight team coordination. Roles spread across melee fighters, ranged marksmen and magic users, and each dwarf carries equipment that matches one of those styles. Defending the monarch stays the main objective, since losing the ruler ends the session. Sticky situations in the tunnels force the group to fall back together rather than split up, and one careless push can cost the whole outpost.

Progression connects the two sides of the gameplay. Resources brought back from the mines fund base upgrades, while stronger defenses allow longer and riskier digs in later rounds. Runes and crafting materials permanently raise the power of the whole party, so the station grows with every successful cycle. Even a failed expedition still teaches the group where the danger lives, which makes each attempt a little safer.

Banana Tiger Studio keeps the title focused on the core loop: a short loop of digging, building and fighting that stays readable in multiplayer. The fantasy setting of a mountain kingdom under siege gives the project a clear identity, and the stone halls echo with the clatter of pickaxes before the horde arrives.
