Dread Trials, set in the tragic aftermath of a century-long conflict between two powerful kingdoms, focuses on the fates of women left defenseless. The global armed conflict has completely depleted mobilization resources, forcing civilians to abandon their familiar lives for the harsh everyday life on the front lines. The protagonists explore vast territories overrun by deserters, merciless bandits, and ferocious monsters. The narrative revolves around the defense of their homeland amid a massive shortage of men, who have almost entirely fallen on the battlefield. Every encounter with an enemy in this dangerous environment becomes a test of survival skills.

The Dread Trials role-playing system is based on deep development of personal talents through extensive ability trees. Combat combines ease of mastery with tactical flexibility, allowing you to adapt your combat style to specific threats. A special feature is the integration of magical runes, which radically transform familiar skills and create unique combinations of effects. In addition to standard progression, ancient signets hidden in the depths of numerous dungeons play a crucial role. Finding treasures and accumulating currency allows you to upgrade your equipment and unlock new skins, emphasizing the heroine's individuality in this grim world.

The unique gameplay is revealed through the capture system, where defeat isn't the final end, but rather the beginning of a cunning escape from the enemy camp. Interaction with opponents allows you not only to remove obstacles but also to suppress the will of captured soldiers for subsequent recruitment into your squad.
