About The Game

Extinction Day is an indie strategy simulator from DryGin Studios that turns the familiar survival formula on its head: you play as the apocalypse itself, tasked with wiping out humanity before it can escape Earth on the space Ark. You must navigate over 10 unique disasters, including epidemics and global wars, chaining catastrophic events together to inflict maximum destruction while managing the resources gained from the destruction. However, humanity doesn't give up so easily: governments mobilize to contain disasters, scientists develop countermeasures, and global humanitarian organizations work to stabilize endangered regions.

The game emphasizes strategic decision-making, requiring you to carefully choose upgrade paths, carefully time your active abilities, and experiment with combinations to find optimal strategies for destruction. With 18 campaign missions across 4 difficulty levels, 28 challenge scenarios with unique rules, and over 70 unlockable perks and upgrades, the game offers high replayability. Each playthrough plays out differently as you adapt to humanity's evolving resistance and discover new ways to trigger chain reactions. Success depends on clever resource management, strategic positioning, and understanding how various disasters interact with one another. The game offers dozens of hours of strategic gameplay with a twisted morality, where timing and tactical decisions determine whether humanity survives or perishes.
