About The Game

Fall of an Empire is a brutal strategy sandbox whose gameplay revolves around preventing the inevitable collapse of a once-great power. Instead of the genre's usual accumulation of power and endless territorial expansion, the newly crowned emperor must merely delay the inevitable tragic end. The protagonist, having seized the throne in a bloody military coup, finds himself in charge of a state on the brink of total collapse. The imperial treasury is empty, the legions are dangerously stretched across distant frontiers, and former allies, such as the ferocious Khervati rebels, are already openly threatening the capital. An atmosphere of total decline permeates every aspect of management, forcing the ruler to constantly balance between brutal tyranny and cunning diplomacy. In this reality, victory is not defined by conquering the entire known world, but by the ability to hold on to power for another year against the inexorable march of history.

Particular attention is paid to the human factor, where each of the millions of subjects, from generals to spies, has a unique character and personal ambitions. A wide range of options is available to effectively confront countless barbarians and insidious internal enemies.
