Updated Version Update v1.5.1

About The Game

Stepping into the boots of the original team in Commandos Origins Shadows over Crete feels like a return to the golden age of Strategy gaming. This title is not about building bases; it is about dissecting a puzzle made of sight cones, patrol timers, and environmental hazards. The game excels in its environmental storytelling, placing your squad in beautifully rendered, historically inspired locations that feel alive and dangerous. Every bush, shadow, and ruined wall is a potential tool for your survival.

The primary challenge lies in the Stealth Economy. You have limited resources decoy stones, poison syringes, and ammo forcing you to rely on distraction and non lethal takedowns whenever possible. The AI is sharp, reacting to suspicious noises and missing patrol partners, which can quickly escalate a small mistake into a mission failure. However, the game provides the tools to recover, encouraging improvisation when plans go awry. The seamless transition between real time planning and execution creates a satisfying rhythm that few other games can match.

Whether you are sabotaging airfields or rescuing captured allies, the stakes always feel personal and immediate. If you are ready to test your tactical acumen against overwhelming odds in one of WWII's most intense theaters, you should download the game and lead your commandos to victory.

Commandos: Origins – Shadows over Crete brings you an exhilarating fully-voiced 4-mission campaign in the aftermath of Operation Mercury. Through the invasion of Crete by airborne forces, the Allied troops suffered a crushing defeat, and the island was left war-scorched and under German occupation.
As a renowned elite squad the Commandos are called in with the odds are stacked against them. They are deployed to support the resistance, led by Eleni Andris, with guerrilla missions against the Axis occupants.
The all-new map immerses you in the sun-drenched, authentic landscape of the Aegean, portraying the island, its beautiful coastlines and scenic buildings in meticulous detail.
Your Commandos are facing a new enemy: the ever-vigilant German paratrooper units act as quick-response teams and will aid your enemies when reinforcements are necessary. You’ll need all your tactical skills to outsmart them and sneak by unnoticed.

    Update v1.5.1:
    Fixes
[Shadows over Crete] Fixed an issue where some DLC achievements (“Ripe for Pickingâ€, “Ghost of Creteâ€, “Island vacation†and “Crete Veteransâ€) did not always unlock correctly on certain platforms including Steam and Xbox.

Fixed an issue where beating mission 1 of the base game (Operation Daybreak) did not always count for achievement progress until all 14 base game missions were finished and any mission was finished a second time. This affected multiple achievements, including “Knock Them Out With Kindness†and “Shadow Tacticsâ€.

Fixed a rare crash related to the view cone settings.
