About The Game
Always Sometimes Monsters — is an independent role-playing game for PC, in which we act as a completely ordinary protagonist who, ahead of his life’s path, tries to prevent his love from marrying the wrong person. The game was developed by the debuting Canadian studio Vagabond Dog, which received an award for its project on PAX Prime and PAX East. The action takes place in the modern world, and the main character, whose gender the players can choose, is a terribly unfortunate person who instantly ends up at the bottom.Without a penny, they are thrown away by the greedy landlord, who questions their further creative career. Moreover, they learn that the love of their life intends to marry someone else. Losing nothing, the protagonist embarks on a journey from the east to the west coast of the United States in the hope of stopping his beloved from marrying another person. Will they be able to return the lost love and how much they will have to donate to change their lives for the better? First, we create a character by setting his race, gender, and sexual orientation.
Although our choice will have a significant impact on the game, in Always Always Monsters we will not see any battle. The essence of the name is interaction with non-player characters, each of which has its own individual character, preferences and prejudices and, therefore, will relate to us in accordance with its own whims. During the 30 days of the protagonist’s life such is the duration of one passage we must make a number of difficult decisions that will have a direct or indirect effect on the fate of the hero heroine and the end of the game. Our main weapon is empathy, our biggest enemy is indecision.
NOTES. The Special Edition includes the soundtrack and game. The game is updated to v1.27b.
