About The Game

In Slidemagi, a turn based strategy game from BATOVI Games, armies do not walk: they slide. Moving a unit means pushing an entire line of the board, so every order you give reshapes the battlefield for both players at once. You command a powerful mage whose deck of cards is the source of all magic, from devastating spells to summoned creatures that fight under your banner. Each summoned unit carries its own special ability, and the question is never simply what to play but where the whole line will end up after you play it. This simple twist turns familiar tactical thinking on its head: a bad position can become a strong one with a single push, and a winning formation can slide apart because of one careless move. The result is a puzzle and a duel at the same time, compact enough to learn quickly and deep enough to stay interesting long after the first matches.

The gameplay unfolds in strict turns that leave plenty of room for thought. On your turn you play cards from your deck, cast spells and summon units, then slide lines to arrange the board in your favor; your opponent then answers with pushes of their own, and the position you built can be turned against you in a single move. Managing the deck matters as much as managing the board: the cards you draw define which spells and creatures are available, so deciding what to spend now and what to keep for the decisive turn is a constant tension. Summoned units are not identical pawns, because every one of them brings a special ability of its own, and combining those abilities with the sliding movement creates possibilities that take time to master. Matches reward planning several moves ahead, reading the geometry of the board and accepting that a single slide can flip the balance. It is strategy distilled to a clean board, a deck of cards and lines that never stop moving.
