Project Borealis is an action game that is a fan version of Half-Life 3. The game is based on the script by Mark Ladlow, a writer who worked on the story for the unreleased third episode of HL2. The gameplay boasts detailed environments, as well as realistic destructibility. The main mechanic in Project Borealis is the ability to pick up several items at once. Many quests and puzzles are based on this element. At the center of the story of Project Borealis are familiar heroes Gordon and Alyx. They find themselves on the ship Borey, located in the snowy Arctic. This ship is between space and time. The main goal of the heroes is to prevent the Combine corporation from capturing teleportation technology. In the wrong hands, this can lead to a global catastrophe.
