About The Game

The gameplay of Striving for Light Survival combines elements of an RPG and a simplified roguelike. As the player progresses, access to new branches of the endless tree of abilities opens up. On the journey you have to break through the darkness, striving for the light. The main character finds himself in danger in a dark and mysterious world filled with traps and deadly enemies. The user will have to explore a wide variety of procedurally created locations. Each environment has a unique background soundtrack, enemies, and environment design. By completing tasks, killing opponents and reaching control points, the protagonist increases his level, opening access to new talents.

The ability tree is also randomly generated, offering special spells and attacks with constantly different effects and parameters. The gamer will have to choose which skills, weapons and cards to open if he levels up his character or completes a mission. Each session provides an original skill tree, also depending on the development path and previous ability choices. To form your own skill branches, the user will need to collect gems. During combat, you can switch between melee and ranged weapons to be as effective as possible against powerful opponents or bosses.
